Engineered timber is a multi-layer (composite) board: a genuine timber wear layer bonded over a stable engineered core. It is not laminate and not vinyl, it's a real-wood surface with unique natural grain and no repeating patterns. For our coastal, humid climate that multi-layer construction is a real advantage.
Engineered and floating timber floors stay far more stable than solid boards, so they resist the cupping, gapping and movement that humidity causes, and they can be installed directly over concrete slabs and with underfloor heating. We handle the supply and installation end to end.
